Open concept painting for a life drawing class I took. I tried something new here and did the underdrawing in charcoal before sealing it with fixative and painting over the top in color. It went surprisingly fast and I will probably use this technique in future paintings. Inspiration for this piece was a bout of hand-foot-mouth disease my son brought home from daycare and I managed to catch it. Turns out I never had it as a child and the guy on the ground is pretty much what I felt like. Childhood diseases man...they are no joke.
